Patsy R. Hackett, 87, of Libby

Patsy Ruth Hackett, 87, passed away Tuesday, Feb.  14, 2012, at her home in Libby surrounded by friends and loved ones.  

She was born on Feb. 21, 1925, in Spokane, Wash., the daughter of Otto and Ruth (Burns) Gibson.

She attended school in Spokane, graduating from Lewis & Clark High School in 1943.  

For 26 years she worked as a secretary for Kaiser Aluminum; Trentwood.  She retired in 1982.   

She was an active member of Sweet Adelines, Pushie Grandmas and also volunteered her time to the Spokane Multiple Sclerosis Society .  

She was also a member of Wandermere 18 Hole Lady’s Golf Club.  

She was preceded in death by her sister, Dorothy Foggio, brothers, Donald and Delbert Gibson, and a sister-in-law, Ora Lee Gibson.

Survivors include her son, Todd Hackett, and wife, Maria of Libby; granddaughter Jordan Stephenson; brother Gary Gibson, of Oakland, Calif. Numerous nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.

Services will be held  1 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2012 at the Senior Center in Libby.  

Memorials may be made to Hospice, Multiple Sclerosis or Lupus.  

Arrangements are by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home & Crematory in Libby.
