RATHDRUM - After Robyn Boissoneau learned she had a $100,000 lottery ticket, she couldn't help but turn a little red-faced.

The 57-year-old Rathdrum woman, who has worked at the Stein's Market in Rathdrum for 21 years, bought the ticket at her employer's nearby competitor, Super 1 Foods.

"I had gone in to return some movies, pick up a few things and there was a girl who was previously a winner there," Boissoneau said.

"But I play (the lottery) at a lot of different places. I'm just glad I went into that store that day."

Boissoneau learned on Thursday that she won from playing Idaho Lottery's Red, White and Blue Cashword scratch game and received the money on Friday at her workplace.

The amount is the maximum prize with the $10 ticket and the odds of winning that is 1 in 191,000. After taxes, she received $67,200.

"My husband (Edward) had open-heart surgery last October - luckily he made it out OK and is back to work - so I'll pay off doctor bills," she said. "We also want to pay off the car, and Edward wants a recliner. So he'll probably get a recliner.

"This will make it easier to live every month. This is truly a Godsend, and it came at the right time of our lives."

Boissoneau didn't scratch the ticket for a day, then originally thought she'd won $1,000.

Then Idaho Lottery called her at work to set her straight with the shocking news.

"They said they needed a copy of my driver's license, but I wondered why because I thought I only won $1,000," she said. "When they told me I had won $100,000, I started to scream, my knees were shaking and I could barely talk."

Boissoneau, a regular lottery player, said her previous highest win was $7,000. She has five children and 13 grandchildren. While Boissoneau said she won't have a lot of the lottery money left over to spend on her kids and grandkids, she may be able to treat them in ways she may not have otherwise been able to.

Super 1 receives $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.

Kootenai County has now had nine six-figure lottery winners in the past 15 months.

"Kootenai County is definitely the luckiest place to play in Idaho right now," said David Workman, Idaho Lottery spokesman. "It's been unbelievable."
