Town hall meeting Saturday

Coeur d'Alene's Legislative Committee will be hosting a town hall meeting from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday in the Community Room at the Coeur d'Alene Public Library.

North Idaho Sens. John Goedde and Jim Hammond, and Rep. Frank Henderson will discuss and answer questions about this year's legislative session. Other local state lawmakers have been invited to attend.

Topics for cities during this year's legislative session include banning texting while driving; legislative efforts to overhaul, restrict, or completely eliminate urban renewal agencies; legislative redistricting; video franchising; and funding for State Alcohol Beverage Control.

The event will be broadcast on Cd'A TV Channel 19.
