Columbus rallies past Vals in loser-out play

BUTTE — Columbus rallied past Bigfork for a 35-32 victory in loser-out play at the Class B state girls basketball tournament on Friday afternoon.
Bigfork trailed 16-13 at the half, but led 23-21 heading into the final frame.
Melissa VanDerveer scored 10 points to pace Bigfork (19-8). Taylor Peck was next with eight.
