Rausch, Kenney lift Polson over Havre

BUTTE — Polson lives on to play another day.
Heidi Rausch tallied 16 points and Riley Kenney 15 to guide Polson to a 46-44 loser-out victory Friday afternoon over Havre at the Class A state girls basketball tournament.
Polson (17-5) bounced back with a strong second half, outscoring the Blue Ponies 29-21. The Pirates scored 17 points in the third period for a 34-33 advantage.
Jaclyn Evans topped Havre in scoring with 11 points. Chanal Standing Rock totaled 10.
Polson continues with loser-out action today at 11 a.m. A win in that contest pushes the Pirates into the consolation final at 6:30 p.m.
