The Inter Lake is happy to announce the winners of our Leap Year Digest Sweepstakes contest.

As part of the fun of having a 154-page Leap Day edition on Feb. 29, readers were challenged to answer a series of questions about historic pages from the Inter Lake, dating from 1916 to 1976, that were pubished inside.

All those who got the correct answers were entered in a drawing, and three were selected at random to receive $100 gift certificates to use at the advertiser of their choice from that day’s paper.

The winners were Leah Emery of Eureka, who chose to use her $100 with A Abel Fishing Charters; Randi Johnson of Kalispell, who asked for a gift certificate at Albertsons; and Michelle Fetveit of Lakeside, who chose to spend her money at Rosauers.

In addition, Barbara Kemler of Lakeside won a six-month subscription to the Daily Inter Lake for being the first person to phone with the correct answer to which page was printed twice (it was the 1928 front page).

Congratulations to all the winners, and thanks again to our advertisers for helping to make this fun special edition of the Daily Inter Lake possible!
