Idaho shot just 3 of 22 from the field in the first half, fell behind 20-0 and lost to Fresno State 80-55 in the Western Athletic Conference semifinals at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas on Friday.

Fourth-seeded Idaho, which advanced to its second WAC semifinal in the last three years, finished 12-20. The top-seeded Bulldogs (26-5) advance to today's finals vs. Louisiana Tech.

"Obviously the game didn't go the way we planned it," Idaho coach Jon Newlee said. "The tone was set early when we missed layups from point blank and they went down and converted. That kind of fed their fire a little bit. We played them well both times (in the regular season), especially in Fresno, and we came in with the same game plan. We got to the rim and we got shots early and we didn't finish, and when we didn't finish they took advantage of it."

Idaho sophomore Alyssa Charlston notched her 11th double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Freshman Stacey Barr had 12 points and senior Keri Arendse had 11 points and six rebounds.

WAC player of the year Ki-Ki Moore scored 19 points for Fresno State, which hit five 3-pointers and shot 56 percent from the field in the second half. The Bulldogs hit 11 of 30 from long range for the game.

California 64, Washington State 49: Gennifer Brandon had 13 points and 15 rebounds, Britt Boyd added 14 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists, and California ended 11th-seeded Washington State's surprising Pac-12 tournament run in the semifinals at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Talia Caldwell had 11 points and nine rebounds for the second-seeded Golden Bears (24-8), who will face No. 2 Stanford, which has won eight straight Pac-12 tournaments, today.

Sage Romberg scored 11 points and April Cook had 10 for the Cougars (13-20), who reached the semifinals with the first two tournament victories in school history.
