Football
A person familiar with the situation said the Tennessee Titans will be visiting with four-time NFL MVP Peyton Manning in his search for a new team.
ESPN.com first reported Titans coach Mike Munchak will meet with Manning after a session with Miami coach Joe Philbin.
The person spoke to The Associated Press Monday about Manning's meeting with the Titans on the condition of anonymity because the location and time of that meeting remains confidential.
Titans owner Bud Adams made it known Sunday he will do whatever it takes to sign Manning to get back to the playoffs and win his team's first Super Bowl.
• A person with knowledge of the negotiations said Randy Moss is back in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers.
Moss agreed to a one-year deal with the reigning NFC West champions, according to a person who spoke on condition of anonymity because the club had yet to make a formal announcement.
Baseball
Miguel Olivo hit a go-ahead three-run home run in the sixth inning, and Jesus Montero ripped a two-run double in the seventh to lead the Seattle Mariners to a 6-4 win over the Texas Rangers in Peoria, Ariz.
Milwaukee hosts Seattle today at 1 in Phoenix.
• The Detroit Tigers released reliever David Pauley after the right-hander got off to a slow start in spring training.
Pauley, a former Seattle Mariner, gave up five earned runs in 2 2/3 exhibition innings.
Pauley had a 2.15 ERA in 39 appearances for Seattle last season before being traded with starter Doug Fister in August.
Basketball
Kentucky and Syracuse were Nos. 1 and 2 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll for a seventh straight week.
Syracuse (31-2), which lost to Cincinnati in the Big East semifinals, got one No. 1 vote. The Orange were ranked No. 1 for six weeks.
