Tiger boys start season with wins

EPHRATA - The Ephrata boys golf team swung into the season in fine fashion, beating Ellensburg by 35 strokes and Grandview by 88 at the Lakeview Golf and Country Club Friday.

Aaron Whalen carded the low round of the day with a 36 for nine holes. Brother Andrew turned in a 37, Bryan Heer shot 40, Josh  Johnson had a 42, and Zach Dwyer and Tyler Janasz finished with a round of 45.

Scott Whitaker turned in a 44 for the Bulldogs, and Cameron Stinnett (57) shot the lowest round for the Greyhounds.

Ephrata is back on the links today when they tee off at the Moses Lake Invite. The match got underway at 10 a.m
