Wildcats and Wildkats named to all state and all conference teams

Seven Columbia Falls boys and girls basketball players were named to the Class A all conference and all state teams:

All state boys — Austin Barth, Parker Johnson

First team all-conference boys — Parker Johnson, senior; Austin Barth, senior; Anthony Correa, senior

Second team boys — Luke Kazlauskas, junior

First team all-conference girls — Madison Sandefer, senior

Second team all-conference girls — Hope Burlage, junior

Honorable mention all conference girls — Cortney White, senior.

Barth was also named to the first team, all-tournament team at the state A basketball tournament in Butte on March 3. Johnson was selected as an honorable mention for the tournament.

Whitefish Mountain Resort’s post-season uphill policy expired last week, but with significant snowfall and changing weather conditions, the resort reminds skier and hikers that avalanche hazards in the ski area’s permitted boundaries do exist.
