Chiefs earn crucial win

SPOKANE - Reid Gow and Dominik Uher scored goals in the third period as the Spokane Chiefs beat the Kamloops Blazers 6-4 in a Western Hockey League game in front of 4,530 on Wednesday night at the Spokane Arena.
Spokane (37-24-5-4, 83 points) is now tied with Vancouver for home-ice advantage seeding in their Western Conference playoff series starting next Friday.
Brenden Kitchton opened the scoring on the power play for Spokane for an early 1-0 lead. After Kamloops scored to tie it at 1 after the first, Kitchton scored again on an assist from Mitch Holmburg.
Kamloops took a 3-2 lead before Darren Kramer's 22nd goal of the season evened the score at 3. Dylan Walchuck scored his eighth goal of the year to give the Chiefs a 4-3 lead before Kamloops tied the game at 4 heading into the final period.
Kamloops outshot Spokane 23-17 in the first two periods before being outshot 12-4 in the third.
Spokane hosts Seattle on Friday.
