POST FALLS — Republican primary candidates for Kootenai County Prosecutor will face off today in Post Falls.

The Panhandle Pachyderm Club will host a forum featuring incumbent Barry McHugh and challenger Donald Gary at noon at Templin's Red Lion Inn, 414 E. First Ave.

McHugh and Gary will be on the May 15 primary election ballot.

The candidates forum is open to the public and Luke Sommer, the club's president, encourages anyone attending to arrive early to get a seat and participate in a question and answer session.

The Panhandle Pachyderm Club is an official Republican group patterned after civic clubs with programs centered around government and politics. Their meetings are open to all Republicans and the general public.

Pachyderm clubs, as an organization, do not endorse issues or candidates in a contested primary election.
