Let the dogs out

POST FALLS - The second annual Leashes and Laces 5-kilometer fun run and walk to benefit Post Falls Police's K-9 program will be today at 9 a.m. at the Greyhound Park and Event Center.

The entry fee, which includes a T-shirt, medal and goody bags, is $25. Race-day registration is welcome. Trophies will be awarded to the top male and female finishers.

There will be a best-dressed dog contest with prizes for the top three. There will also be a K-9 demonstration after the race and vendors.

Organizers ask that there be no aggressive or non-vaccinated dogs at the event. Dogs should be well-behaved and leashed.
