Donald Ray Craig, 74, of Hayden, passed away March 17, 2012, at North Idaho Advance Care Facility in Post Falls. He was born Dec. 30, 1937, in Miles City, Mont., to Homer and Emma (Bailey) Craig.

Don spent his childhood in Montana and Iowa. Following high school graduation, he moved to the San Francisco Bay Area where he remained for much of his adult life until moving to Hayden in 1994.

Don was an avid bowler and in his younger years enjoyed racing cars and motorcycles. Throughout the years he was given many awards and earned many trophies for bowling and racing. He loved to go camping with his family.

Don is survived by his wife, Rhonda; two sons, Donnie and Richard (Alana); two daughters, Rhonda Mae and Gloria (Mark); one brother, Doug (Patricia) Ramsbottom; two sisters, Patricia Riggs and DeeDee Beard; four grandchildren, Jessica, Caitlyn, Gillian and Elysia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens. Yates Funeral Home, Hayden, is entrusted with the care of final arrangements. Please visit Don’s online memorial and sign his guest book at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
