Taste of Home tickets go on sale Wednesday

MOSES LAKE - Tickets go on sale Wednesday for the Taste of Home Cooking School.
General admission tickets are $13. Fifty VIP tickets are available for $40. With a VIP ticket, people are treated to heavy hors d'oeuvres, light refreshments and priority seating.
The event is April 10 at the Grant County Fairgrounds. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m.

The cooking school features Culinary Specialist Kristi Larson. Larson, who is originally from Othello, conducts Taste of Home Cooking Schools throughout the country.
"It's a very interactive cooking show. She's going to teach people how to make some specialized recipes," said Columbia Basin Herald advertising director Bob Richardson. "Lots of gifts will be given out during the show. It's a fun night."

K-9 security team joins staff at Confluence
WENATCHEE — A security dog will be patrolling the halls of Central Washington Hospital, part of an expansion of the security team for Confluence Health. MOSES LAKE – Three Moses Lake men were booked into the Grant County Jail Tuesday morning for assaulting a man, threatening to kill him and stealing his car on Monday, according to a statement from Grant County Sheriff’s Office.
