Teen in stable condition after weekend stabbing

POLSON — A 17-year-old male remained in the hospital Tuesday morning after he was stabbed multiple times by another 17-year-old male on Saturday night in Polson.

On 10th Ave. W. at around 9 p.m. on Saturday night, the victim was stabbed multiple times.

The victim was sent to St. Joseph’s Medical Center before he was transferred to St. Patrick’s in Missoula by ground ambulance, where he was said to be doing well by Polson Assistant Police Chief John Stevens.

The suspect was located a short time later, interviewed and transferred to Missoula County Juvenile Detention Facility, where he had a detention hearing on Monday before he was released to his parents.

As of Tuesday morning, no charges had been filed.
