Edna Irene Lanning

Edna Irene Lanning, resident of Moses Lake, WA passed away on March 2, 2012 at the age of 91, while a resident of Columbia Crest Care and Rehabilitation in Moses Lake, WA.
Edna was born on August 22, 1920 in Jamestown, ND to John and Emelia (Ruff) Elhard. She graduated high school in Jamestown and married Bert G. Lanning in 1942 in Jamestown. Mr. Lanning passed away in September of 1982. In 1947 they were blessed to receive in their home a son, David.
The family moved to Livingston, MT in 1955. Edna was a member of the First Baptist Church of Livingston; Park County Senior Citizens, volunteering wherever needed. She also volunteered in the Park County Meals-on-Wheels. She served on the Governing Board for Area IV Council on Aging of Montana.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her brothers: James, Alvin and Thomas; sisters: Inez, Norma and Onieda.
She survived by her son: David Lanning; grandchildren: Torrey (Jamie) Lanning, Stacy (Mike) Cegnar and Brittany (Mike) Gies; great grandchildren: Cody Cegnar, Paxton Lanning, Casidy Cegnar, Kyley Lanning, Paige Lanning, Konner Lanning and Owen Gies, all of Moses Lake, WA. She is also survived by six siblings: Ella (Ward) Farka of Spokane, WA, John (Kathleen) Elhard of Hawaii, Bob Elhard of Hawaii, Esther (Wayne) Docktor of Arizona, Adeline (Reino) Banttari of Minnesota and Ruth (Bob) Hoblitzel of Oregon.
At Edna's request the family held a private memorial.
