Marvin Willadsen, 83, of Rathdrum and Naples, Fla., passed away on March 20, 2012, at the NCH South Healthcare System in Naples.

He was preceded in death by his wife Shirley Willadsen, grandson Dustin Reeser, and parents Knud and Frances Willadsen.

Survivors are daughter and son in law, Shellee and Wes Kallas, Naples; granddaughter, Kammee Kallas, Naples; great grandchildren Trey and Aubree Stone, Naples; sister Violet Hammond, Rathdrum; brothers Philip Willadsen, Coeur d'Alene, and Eugene Willadsen, Redwood City, Calif. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Marvin graduated from high school in Cheyenne, Wyo., in 1946. He then moved to Rathdrum in 1946 with his brother Phil and mother.

Marvin served in the Army from 1955 to 1957. Before and following he worked at Kaiser Aluminum and retired early in 1983 after 35 years, continuing to work on his farm. He then moved to Florida in 2004 with his daughter to live out his final years in the sun.

Marvin loved to farm, work on machinery and watch things grow. He enjoyed caring for his family, swimming, seeing his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up.

Viewing will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel, 744 North Fourth Street, Coeur d’Alene. Additional viewing will be held beginning at 10 a.m. with a Funeral Service beginning at 11 a.m. Thursday March 29, 2012, also at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel. Graveside Service will be held at 1 p.m. at Pinegrove Cemetery at the corner of Meyer Road and Highway 53 in Rathdrum.
