Wilfred Fontaine

Capt. Ret. Wilfred "Wil" H Fontaine, a resident of Moses Lake, passed away at age 97 in Spokane with two loving grandchildren at his side on March 18, 2012. Wil was born in Moxee City, Washington on October 12, 1914. He retired from the U.S. Army and the federal civil service, and also worked as a real estate broker/agent.
Wilfred's faith was very important to him; he loved his bible. He was a current member of the Military Officers Association, Knights of Columbus, and American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearle; his sons Robert and Kenneth; and his granddaughter Stephanie Julagay; he is survived by his daughters Sue Isaak and Paula Franklin, both of Moses Lake; his caregiver (and granddaughter), Ginna Fontaine of Moses Lake; his grandchildren, Liz Roman of Issaquah, Tami Leonard of Beverly Hills, FL, Jeff Isaak of Moses Lake, Brian Groff of Spokane Valley, Stacey Davis of Portland, OR and Matt Fontaine of Modesto, CA. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren, Alex, Bradley, Nicole, Michael, and Randy, and his great-great-grandchildren, Atticus and Wyatt. The family wishes to thank his special friends, the Ahmann's of Moses Lake, for their dedicated friendship, love and weekly prayer meetings.
On Saturday, March 24 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church (200 N. Dale Road, Moses Lake) the following will take place: 9:00 a.m. - Viewing; 9:30 a.m. - Rosary, 10:00 a.m. - Mass. A reception will follow at the church. Interment will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Moxee.
