Seasons

Affordable haute cuisine. That’s the simplest way to describe Seasons of Coeur d’Alene Fresh Grill and Martini Bar, downtown Coeur d’Alene’s casually elegant restaurant just 9 months young. Just walking in the 9,000 square foot restaurant at 209 Lakeside, the ambience makes the focus on premium quality evident, but don’t worry; you can wear your jeans. Then when you peruse the menu, the offerings are surprising - Executive Chef Scott Miller prepares a variety of high grade options in “comfort food,” which defy any one label, at a middle income price. What’s more, when the food arrives hot at the table, the blend and sometimes, unusual combinations mix to a perfect pitch of music in your mouth.

“We knew we had a great location and our goal was to create a venue where people could enjoy great meals made from the highest quality ingredients, paired with an extensive wine and martini list in a fun and welcoming atmosphere,” said Don “Pepper” Smock, co-owner.

Ladies’ night is consistently one of Seasons’ busiest. The bar is somehow big and open, yet cozy — set apart from the main dining room and with a relaxed cool, yet festive feel Smock was careful to create. Seasons also has a spacious banquet/event room decorated tastefully with local art.

“It has been great to be a part of so many events in the restaurant, whether it’s having local artists create paintings on site for ArtWalk or hosting a very fun Celebrity Bartenders night to benefit CASA, or simply being there as people enjoy surprise birthday parties, ” adds co-owner Pat Krug.

If you go, try the soup. Chef Scott’s culinary skills are showcased in an inventive menu that surprises the palate beyond entree descriptions. The array includes the house ground Kobe Beef Burger (a favorite among staff) and Macs-Mum Cheese, with house smoked chicken and seasonal specialties such as Forest Mushroom Napoleon appetizer with Oregon Hedgehog mushrooms or prawns on goat cheese potato cake.  Popular entrees include sustainably caught wild Alaskan salmon, peppered bistro steak and a daily fresh sheet infused with Chef Miller’s signature style that has earned him accolades and a loyal following across the region.

Seasons is open 11 a.m.  to 11 p.m. Monday - Saturday (bar open until midnight).  Beginning May 1, they will also be open Sundays. SeasonsofCda.com
