Ginno Construction
Locals like to joke about “transplants” from California, but when it’s business, the more the merrier. When those businesses please customers as well as Ginno Construction, even better. For the second year in a row Ginno earns the top spot for “Best Builder” in the commercial category.
In 1992 Chico, California-based Ginno opened a regional office in North Idaho. Now, the company’s home office is in Coeur d’Alene at 3893 Schreiber Way.
“I opened this office as the regional office because I wanted to locate to this area,” President Kris Pereira said. “Since I took over the company, this has been the corporate office.”
The company still maintains a small office in Chico.
Ginno’s main focus is on commercial buildings. Its work includes the fire stations on 15th and Third Streets in Coeur d’Alene, the police station on Schreiber Way, Capone’s (both locations), Panhandle State Bank on U.S. 95 and other buildings, as well as remodels at local schools and North Idaho College, to name a few. Ginno has also worked on residential projects, including Ridge Point Condominiums and high-end homes on Lake Coeur d’Alene.
The company gives back to the community by volunteering for projects, such as the 2011 construction of the new entrance to Tesh, the Post Falls Museum, and sponsorships of youth programs.
Pereira is optimistic about the construction industry’s outlook and says the company stays focused on its mission:
“We are committed to building quality projects that provide our clients with the best possible solutions for their construction needs.”
