SENIORS: Don't just deposit them
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 14 years, 6 months AGO
This is an open letter to all the senior care places, especially those with buses. Last Monday was senior day at the Coeur d’Alene Casino Resort. In the evening hours my wife and I noticed an influx of senior people. This group was challenged. Some mentally and some physically. To us it seems some home just took a bus load of senior folks to the casino to play. That playing is what got our attention. One lady could not hardly see and was trying to put money in the wrong slot. Another lady sat next to me and was only betting 5 cents on a dollar a bet machine and did not seem to understand how the machines work. I did not notice anybody checking on these people. One lady was worried about missing her bus. She said she did not know when or where the bus would be and if she might be left behind.
One other small note, to you minors: You will be carded and asked to leave the gaming floor by any casino and if you do perhaps win any money they can refuse to pay you as a minor.
I feel the casino is left with these problems and to me someone just filled the bus and dumped these people at the casino.
