Grant County has issued a Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance (MDNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (WAC Chapter 197-11) for the following project: A Conditional Use Permit to enable the development of a surface mine and mineral extraction operation site on an approximately 84.40-acre parcel in the Rural Remote zoning district of Grant County.
MITIGATED DETERMINATION OF NON-SIGNIFICANCE
Grant County has issued a Mitigated Determination of Non-Significance (MDNS) under the State Environmental Policy Act Rules (WAC Chapter 197-11) for the following project: A Conditional Use Permit to enable the development of a surface mine and mineral extraction operation site on an approximately 84.40-acre parcel in the Rural Remote zoning district of Grant County. Said development will include sand and gravel production, crushing, washing, screening, hauling, stockpiling, temporary and/or permanent asphalt and concrete batch plants, scales, shop, office, and all related accessory uses. The subject parcel is located approximately 1 mile southeast of Ephrata, WA, and approximately 11/2 miles northwest of the intersection of State Highway 282 and State Highway 17, and in the NE quarter of Section 25, Township 21 North, Range 26 East, WM, Grant County, WA (Parcel #16-0870-000).
After a review of a completed Environmental Checklist and other information on file with the Planning Department, Grant County has determined that this proposal does not have a probable significant adverse impact on the environment as conditioned.
