'You Can't Take It With You' debuts April 5

The Coeur d'Alene High School Theatre Department spring production will be the 1936 comedy by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman, "You Can't Take It With You."
"This show is sure to leave the audience with the inspiration to begin living their lives in pursuit of happiness rather than materialistic items," according to a press release.
With this high-energy and heart-warming story and such stage favorites as Abby Anderson (Alice Sycamore), Kayler Hankins (Tony Kirby), Summer Hershey (Penny Sycamore), Nick Pratt (Paul Sycamore) and Mitch Clarke (Grandpa).
The audience peers into the home of the Sycamore family where Alice Sycamore and Tony Kirby have found love. The Sycamore family and their eccentric ways present some complications on their road to happiness when the Kirby family (Brendan Souvenir and Becca Sims) comes over for dinner on the wrong night and sees the true colors of the Sycamore family.
"The magic moment will be shattered if the Kirby family cannot find it in themselves to accept the Sycamores," the release said.
Performance dates are April 5, 6, 7, 12, 13 and 14 at 7 p.m. Performances are in the Coeur d'Alene High School Fahringer Auditorium.
