Roy G. Gross, 59, passed away March 9, 2012, after a courageous one-year battle with cancer. He was born July 27, 1952, in Newark, N.J., to Minnie and Abe Gross.

In 1980 he married his loving wife, Pam, in Miami, Fla., and spent the next 22 years there where he was involved in the construction and development of shopping malls and office centers.

In June 1992 he moved to Hayden where he spent time pursuing his love of fly fishing, trapshooting, travel and building custom homes for local residents. He also was a substitute teacher at the local high schools and loved the students that me met through this advocation.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Pam Gross; his brother, Bernard Gross and his two nieces, Michelle Zeppieri and Robin Gross.

A celebration of Life will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Faith Presbyterian Church, 9485 N. Maple St., Hayden. Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life with love and laughter.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to his best friend Marty’s cancer fundraising site where he is collecting monies for research for a cure for multiple myeloma: www.active.com/donate/2012mmrfYOR/Martycure
