EPHRATA – Grant County Sheriff’s Marine Deputy Darryl Hudson was honored on April 11 by the United States Coast Guard for his efforts contributing to boating safety.

In a nomination letter from Kathleen Goodwin, the Coast Guard Auxiliary District 13’s chief of response, Hudson was heralded for his efforts improving boating safety on the Columbia River.

Hudson received a plaque and a letter from Capt. S. J. Ferguson, Commander of Coast Guard Sector Puget Sound. The letter, in part, read: Hudson’s “professionalism and dedication reflect an exemplary partnership between the Coast Guard and the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.”
