QUINCY - The Grant County Coroner released the name of a Quincy man who died in a three-vehicle collision south of Quincy Friday morning.
Gordon A. Hyde, 62, was driving a 2002 Kia Sportage on state Route 281 when he reportedly rear-ended a 1998 Frieghtliner semi-truck, causing Hyde's vehicle to spin into the northbound lane where it was struck by a 1999 Mack box dump truck.
Hyde died from blunt force trauma to the head, torso and extremities, according to Grant County Coroner Craig Morrison.
The driver of the Mack truck, a 64-year-old Spokane man, was reportedly injured in the crash and transported to Quincy Valley Hospital for medical care.
The Washington State Patrol (WSP) reportedly notified Hyde's next of kin Monday.
