Richard 'Dick' Glen Foster, 64

Richard "Dick" Glen Foster, 64, died April 30, 2012, after a brief illness, with his family and friends by his side in Kalispell, of natural causes.

He was born Jan. 11, 1948, to Wallace and Alma (Kjemperud) Foster. His father was a logger and his parents came from Minnesota shortly before Dick was born. He resided in Whitefish his entire life.

Dick graduated from Whitefish High School in 1966. He briefly attended Concordia College and then enlisted in the Army where he served for two years in Panama. He then pursued a career in the logging and road construction industry.

Dick was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. His interests included spending time with family, fishing, hunting, hiking and golfing.

Dick is survived by his wife, Tammy Foster; brother, Dennis Foster; sister, Vicki Foster Bader; daughter, Kim; grandchildren, Justin and Katelyn Carr; and stepchildren, Jason and Megan Kiester.

He was preceded in death by his son, Christopher Foster; and his parents, Wallace and Alma Foster.
