POST FALLS - Teri Glenn went 5 for 5 with five runs scored and four RBIs as the Lakeland Hawks beat the Post Falls Trojans 21-1 on Wednesday in the regular-season softball finale for both teams.
"It wasn't one of our better games this season," Post Falls coach Jack Foster said. "We played solid against Coeur d'Alene (on Tuesday) and didn't seem to have the same energy today. We've hung in there really well this year. It could have been real easy to quit, but they've hung right in there."
Brooke Lentham and Kendra Rebal had three hits each for Lakeland (13-6), which hosts the winner of the Moscow-Sandpoint game on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. in the 4A Region 1 tournament.
Dara Kolar had an RBI single in the first inning for Post Falls (0-21), which faces Lake City in the opening round of the 5A Region 1 tournament on Tuesday at 2 p.m.
