With construction of Reserve Drive South under way, the north entrance to Home Depot and other adjoining stores will close Friday, May 4, and reopen later that night.
The north entrance will close again from Monday, May 7, through Friday, May 11, the Montana Department of Transportation said.
Once completed, Reserve Drive South will connect West Reserve Drive to Hutton Ranch Road, running just east of the Mountain View Plaza shopping center.
The $2.9 million Montana Department of Transportation project is being completed by LHC Inc. of Kalispell.
Hutton Ranch Road remains closed at the four-way stop near Walmart.
Paving of Reserve Drive South is scheduled to be completed by mid- to late summer.
A traffic light will be installed at the new intersection.
Meanwhile, work continues separately on a $1.699 million project to resurface six-tenths of a mile of West Idaho Street between First Avenue West and Meridian Road.
That Montana Department of Transportation project is being completed by Riverside Contracting of Missoula.
Alternate routes are recommended for drivers in the West Idaho Street area. Traffic is reduced to two lanes and left turns are prohibited in the construction zone.
