COEUR d'ALENE - The University of Idaho's "DancersDrummersDreamers" group will perform at 7 p.m. May 14 in the Lake City High School Auditorium.

This year, for the first time, DDD will perform at four separate locations across the state.

University of Idaho student dancers and musicians will share their talents with performing arts and music students at the participating Idaho high schools. The visits allow DDD students to teach high school students the routines. The high school students are included in the evening performances.

This is the U-Idaho student group's second visit to Coeur d'Alene. DDD's performance last spring drew a large, energetic crowd of local residents and University of Idaho alumni.

"The high school students integrated themselves so well into the performance that audience members said they didn't realize they had learned the pieces just that day," said Diane Walker, DDD co-creator. "I think that feedback recognizes both the skills and professionalism of the students at Lake City High School and the University of Idaho students who taught them."

Proceeds from the joint performances support the host school's performing arts and music programs. Donations will be taken at the door.

DDD was created in 1991. Each DDD performance showcases original creations of university students and faculty.
