SALT LAKE CITY - Tommy Grady completed 26 of 40 passes for 258 yards and 11 touchdowns as the Utah Blaze defeated the Spokane Shock 84-63 in an Arena Football League game at EnergySolutions Arena on Friday night.

Kyle Rowley threw for 352 yards and nine touchdowns for Spokane, seven of which were caught by Brandon Thompkins. Thompkins finished with a game-high 168 yards on 10 catches for Spokane (3-4), which returns home to face New Orleans next Friday at the Spokane Arena.

The Shock showed problems early, racking up 10 penalties in the first half alone and were stopped on three different occasions, once on a failed fourth-down conversion and twice on interceptions by Rowley. The Utah offense continued its high level of production seen in previous games as the Blaze put up 43 points in the first half, led by Grady.

Utah improves to 6-2.
