Chris Capuano threw seven shutout innings and drove in two runs to lead the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers to a 5-1 win over the Chicago Cubs on Saturday.
Capuano (4-0) held Chicago to three hits and struck out seven, extending his scoreless innings streak to 18 2/3. His two-run double in the second gave him his first RBIs since Aug. 24, 2007.
Pirates 3, Reds 2: Neil Walker and Alex Presley both homered to lead Pittsburgh past visiting Cincinnati.
Giants 5, Brewers 2: Madison Bumgarner shut down visiting Milwaukee for seven innings and added an RBI double to win his eighth straight home start, helping San Francisco snap a four-game losing streak.
Astros 8, Cardinals 2: Chris Johnson hit his first career grand slam, Bud Norris tossed six strong innings and Houston beat visiting St. Louis to win a fifth consecutive game for the first time since late 2010.
Mets 4, Diamondbacks 3: Johan Santana won for the first time in 20 months, finally getting some run support from his teammates, and host New York beat Arizona to snap a four-game losing streak.
Mike Nickeas and Andres Torres each hit a two-run single to back Santana, who toughed out seven innings for his first victory since the two-time Cy Young Award winner had shoulder surgery in September 2010.
Braves 13, Rockies 9: At Denver, Chipper Jones had three hits and matched a career high with five RBIs and Atlanta overcame a grand slam by Michael Cuddyer to beat Colorado.
Nationals 7, Phillies 1: Gio Gonzalez allowed one run over seven innings and Washington beat visiting Philadelphia.
Marlins 4, Padres 1: Mark Buehrle threw a complete-game five-hitter and pinch hitter Greg Dobbs drove in the go-ahead run to lift visiting Miami to its season-high fifth straight victory with a win over San Diego.

Marlins 9, Padres 8, 12 inn.: Omar Infante's RBI double in the 12th lifted Miami at San Diego.
* AMERICAN LEAGUE
Orioles 8, Red Sox 2: Mark Reynolds hit a three-run homer, Jason Hammel had another solid outing and Baltimore won at Boston.
Athletics 4, Rays 3, 12 inn.: At St. Petersburg, Fla., Jonny Gomes came through against his former team, hitting a go-ahead homer in the 12th inning that sent Oakland past Tampa Bay.
White Sox 3, Tigers 2: Adam Dunn hit a two-run homer deep into the right-field seats off Jose Valverde in the ninth inning and Chicago won at Detroit.
Royals 5, Yankees 1: Felipe Paulino came off the disabled list to toss six shutout innings, Billy Butler drove in three runs and Kansas City beat visiting New York.
Rangers 5, Indians 2, 11 inn.: Pinch-hitter Adrian Beltre hit a three-run homer in the 11th inning to lift Texas at Cleveland.
Angels 6, Blue Jays 2: At Anaheim, Calif., Mike Trout and Mark Trumbo homered, C.J. Wilson pitched effectively through eight innings and Los Angeles bounced back from consecutive shutout losses against Toronto to beat the Blue Jays with slumping slugger Albert Pujols on the bench.
Wilson allowed two runs and six hits, including Adam Lind's leadoff homer in the seventh, and struck out nine.
