DeHaas, a freshman from Coeur d'Alene High, was nominated for "Rookie of the Year" honors for the Crusaders (25-20). DeHaas is hitting .304 with 16 walks, 8 doubles and a home run, with a slugging percentage of .400 and an on-base percentage of .409.

Bridges, a senior from Lake City High, was named to the NAIA All-West team, announced on Saturday. Bridges led the Warriors (40-12) in hitting with a .403 average despite missing nearly a fifth of the season with a broken finger. He is currently 64 of 159 this year with 49 runs, 19 doubles, three triples, four home runs and 32 RBIs. He also leads the team by being hit by pitch 11 times and has a .487 on-base percentage and a .635 slugging percentage.

Murray, a freshman from Coeur d'Alene High, hit the automatic qualifying mark for the NAIA national meet with a throw of 174 feet, 3 inches in the hammer throw during the Tom Gage Classic on Saturday in Missoula. The distance was both a personal and school record, helping Murray finish third.

Work, a junior from Lake City High, allowed six hits over seven innings, striking out six as the Broncos beat San Diego State 6-3 on Saturday. Work improved to 6-2 with a 4.01 ERA on the season in 18 appearances and has struck out 58 batters.

Norris, a freshman from Coeur d'Alene High, finished third in the 800-meter run during Saturday's Tom Gage Classic in Missoula. Norris finished in 1:54.81.

Bauman, a sophomore from Post Falls High, finished fourth in the discus with a throw of 142-1 during the Front Range Invitational, held within the Cadet Track and Field Complex on Friday.

Gonzales, a junior from North Idaho College, hit a leadoff home run in the seventh inning of the Gamecocks' 6-3 loss to Ole Miss on Saturday in University, Miss. South Carolina is 23-31, 3-24 in the Southeastern Conference.
J.J. Turbin
Westmont baseball
Turbin, a redshirt sophomore from Coeur d'Alene High, went 1 for 5 as the Warriors (24-27-1) lost to NAIA No. 11 Concordia and were eliminated from the Golden State Athletic Conference tournament on Thursday. Turbin led the team in hitting with a .388 average in 51 games, with 28 RBIs and a team-high 44 runs scored.
Kristine Leonard
Idaho track and field
Leonard, a junior from Lakeland High, finished second in both the discus and shot put at the Vandal Jamboree at Moscow on Saturday in the inaugural meet at the renovated Dan O'Brien Track and Field Complex. Leonard threw 156-11 in the discus and 47-11 1/4 in the shot put, tying Johanna Hocketstaller for eighth all-time at Idaho in the shot.
