EBERLEIN: He's the real deal

The concept of appointed officials is proving to be unpopular. The leaked “sound bite” regarding facilities studies and parking garages wasn’t well received by the taxpayers of Kootenai County.

Private property rights, ULUC and Kendig Keast have been argued on a regular basis this campaign season at the forums. The incumbents, Green and Tondee, noting the disfavor shown by the public, have recently been using a new “sound bite” to better their chances of re-election. Namely, any currently allowable activity, construction, etc. will continue to be allowed on properties as currently allowed or zoned.

I read an article in the Sunday, May 6, 2012, issue of the Cd’A Press titled “Home Improvement” and learned the most recent sound bite is now reality! “Neighborhood Conservation zoning district”. Evidently so named by none other than Kendig Keast. Imagine that. The commissioners are now telling us that they are listening? Or because they want to be re-elected? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me.

Like many others, I have listened to and spoken with the candidates in an effort to make good decisions as a voter. Almost every voter I have spoken with has come to the same conclusion as I have; Marc Eberlein is the real deal, replace Tondee.
