Fr. Rassley, 83

C.Ss.R., Rev. George A. Rassley entered into eternal life on May 8, 2012, at St. Clement Health Care Center for the Redemptorists in Liguori, Mo. He was 83 years old. Beloved son of the late George and Katharine Rassley, brother of the late Thomas E. Rassley and uncle of Thomas M. Rassley.

He is survived by his sister, Sister Mary Rassley, IHM of Scranton, Pa.; sister-in-law Joan Rassley of Spokane Valley; two nieces, Michele and Pam; one nephew, Tim; cousin Tom Cope of Olympia, Wash.; other extended family and dear friends.

Fr. Rassley professed his vows as a Redemptorist in 1948 and was ordained a priest in 1953. He served the people of Coeur d’Alene for more than 20 years until 2010.

There will be a vigil at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 919 E. Indiana Ave., Coeur d’Alene, and funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2012, at St. Thomas. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery following the Mass.
