"I've never coached a girls high school team that has broken four minutes," Coeur d'Alene coach Linda Lanker said. "They're now leading the state. It's pretty exciting for them right now."

Cody Curtis won the 1,600 for Coeur d'Alene, which won a fourth straight regional title. Carlos Martinez (100) and Addison Johnson (200) also led the Vikings to a win in the 4x100 relay.
"We've got a lot of kids going to state," Lanker said. "Lots of them are really young. It's going to be a real fun experience for these kids. It was a really nice day and there was a lot of really good competition. I'm really happy with how it came out."
Lake City’s Nick Gosselin won the 400 and ran on the winning 4x200 and 4x400 relay teams.
