Lake City ends league play with win

COEUR d'ALENE - C.J. Goggin scored four goals, and Max Evans had two goals and five assists as Lake City defeated University 12-8 on Monday night to conclude regular-season play in the North Idaho Lacrosse League.

Lake City (8-4 NILL) finished in a three-way tie for second place, wound up as the No. 4 seed, and will travel to top-seeded Coeur d'Alene in a semifinal game Wednesday at 6 p.m. Sandpoint will play at University on Wednesday in the other semifinal. The winners will play Friday for the league title at a neutral site.
