E. Norine Reeves, 88

E. Norine Reeves passed away at Kootenai Medical Center on May 11, 2012, at 11:22 p.m. Norine was born in Colfax, Wash., on Aug. 31, 1923.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy McKinley Norris Sr.; mother Zelma Spurgeon Norris; half sister Geraldine Roseberry; and brothers, Delbert A. Norris, Richard O. Norris, Guy McKinley Norris Jr. and Frank Norris.
Two husbands preceded her in death also. Raymond Clutter and two baby boys from that marriage, and Donald Reeves and Gerald (Jerry) Clutter.
She is survived by her brother, John W. (Bill) Norris and wife Beverly of Dalton Gardens; sister Marilee Norris-Wales and husband Ron of Dalton Gardens; daughter Marilyn Clutter Wessels of Estes Park, Colo.; stepsons, Mr. and Mrs. Tadd Reeves, Terry Reeves and Mr. Steve and Dr. Julie Reeves; numerous grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and many special friends that were all a big part of her life.
She lived in various RR Sections houses in Washington since our Dad was a Section Foreman for the Union Pacific Railroad. After graduation from Rosalia, Wash., high school she lived in Bonners Ferry working in a grocery store, Tacoma, Orville and Thornton, Wash. She worked in Moscow as a meat wrapper for the Safeway store later working in the Assessor’s office and moving to Spokane and retiring from the Treasure’s office from the Spokane Courthouse.
She then moved into a nice apartment in the basement of her sister’s home in Dalton Gardens and worked for Betty and Ev’s Floral. As time passed she moved into Heritage Place for several years and then into Coeur d’Alene Homes Assisted Living until her death.
One will always remember her special talent of playing the piano and she was still able to read notes and play until just recently. She also loved playing tennis, books and reading, but had not been able to read much the last few years. Norine loved to travel and had been to Hawaii three times, to Europe and Alaska and spent her honeymoon with her husband, Don Reeves, in the Holy land. She loved special times with family dinners and outings with her special friends.
