Kenneth (Ken) William Boni, 58, of Hayden Lake, surrounded by family and friends, began eternal life with our heavenly Father on May 13, 2012. He was born in Coeur d’Alene, Dec. 15, 1953, the son of William and Alice Boni and was preceded in death by his father.

He graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1972 and attended North Idaho College. His professional career started as Assistant Manager for Albertson’s. He transitioned to Washington Water Power, now Avista, where he took on new challenges, such as partnering to establish Avista Advantage, now Ecova.

Ken was a member of Kootenai Masonic Lodge, past Potentate of Calam Shrine and a member of the Coeur d’Alene Shrine Club. As a Shriner, Ken loved his time spent as “Paco” the clown, bringing endless smiles to many children. Ken was past Chairman of the Board of the Shrine Hospital of Spokane and was honored receiving the Chairman Emeritus Award assisting to keep the hospital doors open during challenging economic times.

Ken attended First Presbyterian Church in Coeur d’Alene. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed elk hunting, fishing, boating, camping, four-wheeling and skiing. He also enjoyed traveling watching hockey and football games. Ken touched the lives of many people and displayed his love of life through a positive attitude, warm embrace and words of encouragement to everyone he met. Ken was a fabulous father, grandfather and role model and cherished his time with his family.

Memorial Services will be held at noon Saturday, May 19, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church in Coeur d’Alene, with a reception to follow.

Ken is survived by his wife, Connie (Coffman), married June 26, 1993. He is also survived by his children and their spouses; Jason (Amy) Boni, Jami (Boni) and Philip Principi; and his son, Joel Boni. He leaves behind his mother, Alice Boni; sister Nancy Johnson; niece Allyson Johnson; friend Doug; as well as numerous family members who loved him deeply. Ken adored his grandchildren, Ethan, Makenna, Will and Claire.
