ST. IGNATIUS — The Ayleen’s Thursday Quilters Spring Quilt Show April 27-28 at the St. Ignatius Senior Citizens Center was well attended with comments including “awesome,” “great show” and “such fun” by those that viewed the large number of displayed works. The quilters donate a portion of the money raised by the show to the center.

Winners in each of the various categories were determined by ballots cast by show goers. Group Founder Ayleen Bain stopped by and voted for her overall favorite. Carol Schliep won that honor.

Bain is the lady that donated her time and talents over 20 years ago to start the group. The quilters meet every Thursday in the center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Anyone with a desire for friendship, sharing, sewing and inspiration is welcome.
