'Hercules' debuts tonight at Kroc
Christian Youth Theater-North Idaho presents the premiere of "Hercules," tonight through May 27 at the Salvation Army Kroc Community Theater.
Seventy-six local school children ages 8-18 make up the cast with an additional 25-plus on crew all overseen by 65 adult volunteers.
"Hercules" is the story of a boy who battles monsters - after he does his chores - all the while dreaming of finding his true destiny.
The cast will perform shadow dancing inspired by Pilobolus Contemporary Dance Company.
"Showcasing original jazzy, scat-filled music, this show will inspire you to follow your dreams while staying true to yourself along the way," according to a press release.
All of the children are currently taking theater arts classes in CYT's after-school educational program.
