Thompson Falls wins boys title in Corvallis

Thompson Falls competed in the Western B Divisional Meet this past weekend in Corvallis. 

The Bluehawk boys started day two trailing Florence by two points 42-40, however that deficit would be easily overcome as the Thompson Falls boys pilled up 67 points on day two and came back to win the boys team competition with 107 total points. 

The Falcons coulnd’t keep pace with the Bluehawks and finished second with 92 points.Loyola Sacred Heart finished third with 83 points, after only having 27 total points after day one of the meet.

Danny Babbit won the javelin with a distance of 161-5. 

The 4x100 relay team of Gabe Flood, John Lloyd, Cody Phillips, and Hawk Fratzke took home first place with a time of 44.94.

Dominique Holt picked up three second place finishes in the 110m hurdles and the high jump, and pole vault. 

Preston Schubert finished second in the 300m hurdles and third in the 110m hurdles, and Flood finished second in the 100m with a time of 11.51. 

Jimmy Swiercz took home fourth place in the 800-meter race.

 Hope Reid stood out for the Thompson Falls girls as she won the high jump competition; clearing 5-2. She was the only girl to clear 5 feet. Ried also dominated the pole vault getting over 9-6, which two feet higher than the second place finisher.   the T-Falls girls finished the team competition in eighth place with 21 points.
