Chili Cook Off raises nearly $2,000 for area food banks

COEUR d'ALENE - That's some beans.

The inaugural Chili Cook Off at the Best Western Plus Coeur d'Alene Inn, sponsored by Frontier Communications, raised $1,917 for the Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls food banks. The cook-off was spearheaded by Mike O'Brien, Best Western Plus manager, and will be an annual event, he said.
