Margaret M. Triplett, born Oct, 11, 1923, in Spokane, passed on May 24, 2012, in Coeur d’Alene. She was the only child of Americus and Margaret Bisbee. She met Leo B. Triplett in Coeur d’Alene, and they married in Seattle August 2, 1945. She spent the majority of her life as a wife and a stay-at-home mother to 10 children. She has 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leo Triplett, and two sons, Byron Triplett and Lonnie Triplett. She is survived by children Robert (Monika) Triplett of Santee, Calif., Patty (George) Rogers of Columbia Falls, Mont., Ron (Patty) Triplett of Hayden, Ernie (Bonnie) Triplett of Nampa, Idaho, Penny (Ted) Sundberg of St. Regis, Mont, Vince (Louise) Triplett of St. Regis, Belva Ray of Post Falls, and Bonnie Triplett of Coeur d’Alene. Margaret was a long-time member of the St. Pius X Catholic Church. Some of her many hobbies included gardening and flowering, canning, and hosting major family gatherings. Her love for traveling took her to both ends of the United States in her life. She was an accomplished swimmer and was well-known for swimming across the head of the Coeur d’Alene River. While she loved being a stay-at-home mom, if anyone asked her what her advice in life would be, she would say “get an education!” Margaret was loved by everyone that knew her and will be deeply missed by all.
Graveside service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 2, 2012, at Riverview Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene.
