COEUR d'ALENE - A Coeur d'Alene man and Hayden women died when their vehicles collided head-on Friday afternoon on U.S. 95, just south of Coeur d'Alene.
Truman R. Jackson Jr., 63, was traveling northbound on U.S. 95, just south of Kidd Island Bay Road, at 2:24 p.m. when his 2003 Lincoln Town Car crossed the center line for unknown reasons, Idaho State Police reported.
The car struck a 1999 Toyota Corolla driven southbound by Kami L. Edmonson, 21. Both drivers died at the scene, police reported. There were no passengers in either vehicle.
Alcohol is not a factor in the accident, which remains under investigation, police reported.
