EPHRATA - A man is accused of chasing three men into a home, and attacking one in a gang-related fight in Warden.

Prosecutors charged Eddie Hernandez, 20, in Grant County Superior Court with first degree burglary and fourth degree assault.

Three gang members were outside of a Sixth Street residence when Hernandez was walking past the residence, according to a Warden police report. The group reportedly began fighting outside, and the three gang members ran inside the residence.

Hernandez allegedly forced his way inside, punching one of the men in the face and grabbing his shirt in an attempt to drag him outside, according to the police report. Two of the men reportedly forced Hernandez out of the residence and closed the door. Hernandez allegedly threw a beer bottle through a window before leaving.

Hernandez was being supervised by the Department of Corrections at the time of the incident, according to court records. He recently finished a prison sentence and a jail sentence. Prosecutors placed an aggravating factor of rapid recidivism on his charges.

Warden Police Chief Rick Martin stated the incident was gang related.
