Columbia Basin Herald hosts indoor yard sale Next Saturday

MOSES LAKE - Sticker guns, bargain shoppers and buried treasure will be front and center Saturday as The Columbia Basin Herald hosts its fourth indoor garage sale Saturday at the Grant County Fairgrounds.
The paper sponsors the sale each spring and fall to give back to the community, the Herald's Advertising Manager Bob Richardson said.
"It’s about that time of year after summer passes and people think, 'Man, I should have had a yard sale," he said of this weekend's event.
Bargain hunters have from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday to rummage through more than 40 booths, all while under the roof of the fairground's Commercial Building.
"We do this to bring people together," Richardson said. "Every time we do this it gets bigger and better. It's a huge venue. In fact, I'm able to let people drive into their booths, and then drive back out again."
The Herald rents the building for the day and rents booths for $25 to any vendor. Then anywhere from 600 to 1,000 people roam up and down the tables, sorting through wares, knickknacks and trinkets.
"We just want to give the yard sale junkies one last hurrah before the cold weather sets in," Richardson said. "We're really glad to use this opportunity to give back to the Moses Lake community," he added.
