Avista board declares dividend

Avista Corp. board of directors has declared a quarterly dividend of 29 cents per share on the company's common stock. The common stock dividend is payable Dec. 14, 2012, to shareholders of record at the close of business on Nov. 29.

Avista Utilities, its operating division, provides electric service to 361,000 customers and natural gas to 320,000 customers.

LifeCare will host open house

LifeCare Solutions, a provider of respiratory, infusion, enteral nutrition and durable medical equipment, will host an open house 3-6 p.m. Wednesday at the new Coeur d'Alene branch, 1801 N Government Way, Ste. 3.

The public is welcome to meet staff and see the facility.

Ambassadors Group announces dividend

Ambassadors Group, Inc., a leading provider of educational travel experiences, announced that its board of directors declared a quarterly dividend of 6 cents per share, which will be paid on Dec. 6, 2012 to all common shareholders of record on Nov. 22, 2012.

The company is located in Spokane.

Six appointed to Resource Advisory Council

Six new members were appointed to the Bureau of Land Management's Coeur d'Alene District citizen-based Resource Advisory Council. The appointees will serve a three-year term and advise the BLM on public lands issues.

The members and the area they represent on the committee are: Linda Rider, grazing industry; Douglas Boggan, dispersed recreation; David Uberuaga, environmental organizations; Jerry Shriner, wild Horse and burro; Tommy Stroschein, public-at-large and Chris Goetz, public-at-large.
