Farmers market

Morgan benefit

A spaghetti supper with salad and dessert to benefit the Mark Morgan family is from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 17 at the Columbia Falls North Valley Senior Center. Morgan’s wife Jenny and daughter Jazmyn were born with neurofibromatosis, a condition where the nerves grow around body organs. There will also be a silent auction. Cost is $5 per person or $20 per family.

Parent teacher

The last Columbia Falls High School parent-teacher conference is Nov. 15 from 4:30 p.m to 7:30 p.m. Parents can pick up first quarter report cards.

Brown bag

Glacier National Park will host a brown bag session at noon Nov. 15 on the Crown Managers Partnership — managing for ecological health in the crown of the continent ecosystem. The talk, held in the Park’s community building, is free and open to the public.

Columbia Falls High School baby dedications for the yearbook are due in Mrs. Thramer’s office by Nov. 19.

Historical society

The Columbia Falls Historical Society will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, at the Montana Veterans Home chapel. Historical Society calendars are available at Super 1 Foods and Glacier Bank in Columbia Falls. Anyone interested in the history of the local area is encourage to attend the meeting.

Financial aid

Columbia Falls High School will host a financial aid night Nov. 20 at 6:30 p.m. in the Launer Library. All parents and students planning on attending college should consider attending this event. Guest speaker is Liz Foster of Flathead Valley Community College. Call 892-6500 for more information.

GOP women

Flathead County Republican Women will hold their general meeting on Monday Nov. 19 at noon at the Red Lion Inn Kalispell Center Mall. Speaker will be Monica Eisenzimer Flathead County Recording and Election Services Manager.

Gun Winner

The Rotary Club of Bigfork won the .300 short magnum rifle that was custom made at Montana Rifle Co. for the Rotary Club of Columbia Falls. The raffle is a major fundraiser for the club and benefits the local Wounded Warrior program and other local charities.

Fall bazaar

Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 640 Seventh St. West, will hold its annual fall bazaar, cookie walk and homemade soup and pie luncheon on Saturday, Nov. 17, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Handcrafted items including baby items will be on sale. Christmas cookies will be sold by the pound. Proceeds will benefit mission projects in the Flathead and overseas.

Infusion center

Columbia Falls patients currently traveling to Kalispell for outpatient infusion treatment (injections or intravenous medications) can get their work done at Kalispell Regional Medical Center’s satellite location. More than 1,000 Columbia Falls residents have received treatment at KRMC for multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, hydration, antibiotic therapy, blood draws and other needs. The center will not offer blood transfusions or provide cancer treatment. For more information, call 751-6956.

Bell ringers

The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to ring bells at 19 locations across the Flathead this Christmas season. Money raised by bell ringers will stay in the Flathead. Last year in the Flathead, the Salvation Army provided 17,783 hot meals, 1,555 showers, 8,400 clothing articles and household items.
